About Bret Page
Teri Page
Bret James and his family are homesteaders from the Sierra Nevada Mountains in Northern California. Their homestead, Oak Meadows, began as 30 bare acres of land that they are developing into a regenerative permaculture farm.

This land is a platform for sustainable homesteading experimentation where alternative methods of agriculture and living, called permaculture, guide them to not just living on the land, but with the land.

Though they are fully immersed living the homestead life every day now, Bret and his fiancé Beth used to be in the tech industry, working the 9-5 life in Denver. After realizing this consumeristic life felt empty and void of connections to nature, health, and food, they decided to leave it all behind and start a new life on the land.

Two weeks after closing on their homestead, they discovered their little homesteader Sequoia was on his way, ready to help them build their home every step of the way.

Bret’s passion for permaculture homesteading extends beyond their farm. Their business, High Sierra Permaculture, is solely focused on helping people start and design sustainable homesteads.
